POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Product Owner to help manage our suite of Android and iOS Apps. The main focus of this role will be managing and expanding our portfolio of private label Apps to additional markets and some of the largest Telcos in the world. In addition to helping manage our business relationship the PO will be responsible for the typical PO job responsibilities.
The Product Owner will interact with our customers and partners to understand user problems, obtain feedback on existing products and competitive products, and identify solutions. You will synthesize these inputs into roadmaps and product requirements and socialize these with internal and external stakeholders. While managing our clients is a major focus of this role, there will be room to define creative solutions. Devising creative solutions to help monetize our apps, and conduct A/B tests to test your hypothesis will be core to this role’s success. This is a wonderful opportunity to apply your creativity and skills and hit the ground running using previous industry experience, which is why previous experience in ad tech, mobile app development and app monetization are required.
Our ideal Product Owner will have demonstrated experience working with engineers and designers to deliver engaging In-App user experiences, as well as success defining and conducting A/B experiments that optimize engagement and conversions. Experience with rewarded and/or lock screen apps is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience that sets them up for success and enable them to grow into the role of a strategic leader and have influence on the larger Airfind App strategy. Successes can be leveraged to our other clients and O&O Apps, and the broader Airfind business.
This is a hands-on position, which will require the following capabilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert for projects under management; driving engagement and optimizing user conversions. Drive innovation and early adoption of industry trends to better monetize our App suite; accountable for portfolio P/L
- Own and maintain a portfolio of Airfind private labels as designated
- Lead the definition and development of new apps through the various stages of requirements gathering, UX/UI design, App development and launch
- Conduct A/B experiments determining the most effective calls-to-action and, when applicable, define the optimal rewards and redemption model that keeps users engaged while maximizing revenue
- Work closely with the Engineering, Yield Optimization, Operations and Product teams to ensure we have the right capabilities and functionality to achieve our corporate goals; proactively monitor and propose optimizations to our monetization strategy or App UX
- Develop product roadmaps and business plans for your product lines; using data and customer feedback to define and prioritize product requirements, features and functionality
- Be the lead Product Owner for one or more agile development teams; gathering requirements and navigating product development through all Agile ceremonies
- Act as the ambassador between business needs and the technology group, by translating business needs into structured user stories as actionable units of work for multiple technology teams
- Monitor and react to product KPIs by analyzing behavioral and objective user data. Strategically identify unmet consumer needs and opportunities; effectively utilize metrics to demonstrate problems and indicate success leveraging A/B tests and yield optimization analysis
- Triage requests for new product functionality as needed by evaluating their value to the customer and business
- Hands-on project management to lead product design, development, and release process for assigned products; tight collaboration with Product Marketing to ensure smooth product launches
- Support marketing, sales, and support efforts by leading the development and maintenance of appropriate collateral including user guides, presentations, and marketing content
- Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
QUALIFICATIONS
- Airfind is remote first but the PO must have the ability to travel to our client’s offices (potentially outside the US).
- Ability to work hands-on within fast-moving organization; thrive with ambiguity and comfortable with fluid processes
- 5 or more years of experience as a hands-on product owner/manager, or similar role owning multiple Apps; strong preference for candidates with previous ad tech monetization experience working with rewarded platforms, demand partners
- High familiarity with Admob, Meta and other native monetization platforms
- Previous experience working with pre-loaded Apps, GSM certification and other related nuances of support Telcos.
- Robust knowledge of Android, iOS, and Flutter Apps, App development and related best practices (UX, App/Play Store policies) is required
- Experience defining and conducting A/B tests to optimize yield, click-through-rates and other conversion metrics. Ability to synthesize results and recommend plans of action to a cross functional team; support with data.
- Experience with ad-tech and familiarity with rewarded experiences is highly desirable. Familiarity with search, display and display-to-search monetization strategies a bonus
- Demonstrated command of the principles of Agile methodologies; success leading Agile teams as a hands-on product owner
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients and partners
- Knowledge of analytical tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, Excel/Sheets, MixPanel, Looker Studio, etc.)
- The ability to make impossible deadlines while keeping a good sense of humor is a huge plus
