HVAC Technician

Position Summary

Aire Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated, dependable professional with strong troubleshooting skills who can accurately diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems.

The ideal candidate has several years of field experience, possesses a valid EPA Certification, and takes pride in solving problems the right way—not just replacing parts. This position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while representing Aire Solutions with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and control system issues.
• Service gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, mini-split systems, package units, geothermal, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Read wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and service literature.
• Recover, evacuate, and properly charge refrigerant systems.
• Verify proper airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical performance, and overall system operation.
• Clearly explain repair recommendations and options to customers.
• Complete service tickets, diagnostic notes, and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle.
• Follow all safety procedures, EPA regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in manufacturer training and continuing education.
• Assist other technicians when needed and mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC service experience preferred.
• Valid EPA Section 608 Certification (Required).
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical problems without relying on parts swapping.
• Experience servicing:
• Gas furnaces
• Heat pumps
• Air conditioners
• Ductless mini-split systems
• Variable-speed and inverter equipment
• Light commercial rooftop units (preferred)
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE Certification
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
• Experience with communicating and variable-speed HVAC systems
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment
• Experience with boiler systems
• Familiarity with York, Hitachi, Daikin, Trane, Carrier, Lennox, and Goodman equipment

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.
• Climb ladders and work at heights.
• Frequently bend, kneel, crawl, and lift throughout the workday.
• Work overtime and occasional on-call hours during peak seasons.
