Position Overview
We are a growing small business (approximately $3M in annual revenue) seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our 10,000 sq ft warehouse operations.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can reorganize, optimize, and maintain an efficient warehouse system while managing daily operations. You will play a key role in improving layout, inventory accuracy, and overall workflow to support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Optimization & Organization
- Evaluate current warehouse layout and design improved storage and workflow systems
- Reorganize inventory locations for optimal space utilization and picking efficiency
- Implement and maintain 5S or similar organizational standards
- Develop clear labeling, binning, and slotting strategies
Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Monitor and improve operational efficiency and throughput
Inventory Control
- Manage inventory levels and ensure high accuracy through cycle counts and audits
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, shrinkage, or inventory issues
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/WMS systems
- Optimize stock levels to reduce carrying costs and stockouts
Team Leadership
- Supervise and support a small warehouse team
- Train, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance
- Lead by example with a hands-on, “player-coach” approach
- Assist with hiring and onboarding as needed
Shipping & Logistics
- Coordinate outbound shipments (parcel and LTL carriers such as UPS, FedEx, freight)
- Optimize shipping methods and costs
- Oversee receiving processes and inbound inspections
Process Improvement
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Establish and track KPIs (order accuracy, fulfillment times, inventory accuracy)
- Identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvements
Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years of experience in warehouse management or operations leadership
- Proven experience reorganizing or improving warehouse layout and efficiency
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and control processes
- Experience with WMS/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Fishbowl, SAP, or similar)
- Familiarity with Lean principles (5S, process improvement, waste reduction)
- Ability to analyze workflows and implement scalable systems
Leadership & Work Style
- Experience managing small teams (3–10 employees preferred)
- Hands-on, self-starter with strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and efficiency
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
- Experience with barcode/RF scanning systems a plus
Certifications / Requirements
- Valid forklift operator certification (required)
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods

- Track record of successfully restructuring warehouse operations
- Experience implementing new systems, layouts, or process improvements

Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
