Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sheet metal workers and apprentices.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- Review blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to maintain quality standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain inventory of materials and tools, ordering supplies as needed.
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
You should be proficient in:
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
- Blueprint Reading
Salary info:
