About Us
Airbase Automotive Repair is a busy general automotive repair shop focused on professional, reliable service and long‑term customer relationships. We seek a seasoned Master Mechanic — a hands‑on role combining high‑level diagnostics/repairs with crew leadership, quality control, and workflow management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on domestic and import vehicles (engines, transmissions, driveline, brakes, steering/suspension, electrical, A/C).
- Inspect work for quality and safety; perform final checks before customer delivery.
- Train junior technicians on procedures, tools, and shop best practices.
- Communicate with service advisors about job progress, parts needs, and estimated completion times.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and time records.
- Enforce shop safety, tool/equipment care, and cleanliness standards.
- Assist owner/manager with hiring, performance reviews, and parts/vendor coordination as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience; ASE Master Technician certification preferred.
- Proven supervisory or lead experience in a shop setting.
- Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and shop equipment.
- Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred.
- Professional, customer‑focused attitude and reliability.
