Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic self-starter with a positive outlook to join our Contractor Team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador for our company, delivering exceptional service to diverse clients across multiple channels. Your energetic approach and strong communication skills will help build lasting relationships, resolve inquiries efficiently, and ensure customer satisfaction at every touchpoint. A strong enthusiasm for AirAdvice's dual mission is essential for success in this role: supporting our customers' businesses and, through that support, improving Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for homeowners. This role is vital for assisting our quickly growing customer base and ensuring ongoing support for existing customers.

Duties

Customer Service & Technical Support

  • Promptly and professionally respond to customer inquiries across all channels (phone, email, chat), offering clear and effective solutions.
  • Conduct outbound calls to follow up with customers, gather feedback, and, when appropriate, promote additional services.
  • Provide product information, troubleshoot technical issues, and process service requests to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to ensure every customer interaction is positive, valued, and understood.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, refine processes, and continuously enhance the quality of client service.

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities

  • Accurately process online payments during client interactions as needed.
  • Create and send invoices, manage online transactions, and provide general office administrative support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions by diligently entering data into the CRM system.

Marketing & Other Duties

  • Assist with the planning, editing, and organization of the monthly customer newsletter and social media.
  • Actively participate in team activities and special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Communication Excellence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening, clarity, and a professional, friendly phone presence.
  • Customer Support Experience: Proven experience in customer support or call center environments, focusing on client services and including outbound calling.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), and comfort with technology, with a willingness to learn industry-specific programs.
  • Problem-Solving & Organization: Skilled at problem-solving, isolating issues, and anticipating next steps. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and follow tasks through to conclusion.
  • Work Ethic: A team-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable work ethic.
  • Financial Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle transactions with integrity and precision.
  • Mission Alignment: A strong enthusiasm for AirAdvice's dual mission: supporting customers' businesses and, through that support, improving Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for homeowners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the HVAC industry of other trades.
  • Proficiency with computers and working knowledge of Google workspace, Salesforce, Constant Contact, Formstack, Canva.
  • Knowledge of HTML and graphic design.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and strategies.

Logistics & Application Details

  • Schedule: M-F, 8am-4pm, with half-day Fridays most weeks.
  • Compensation & Benefits: This role offers a competitive salary based on skills and experience, in addition to a benefits package that includes medical/dental coverage, a vacation package, and 401(K) eligibility.
