Handyman/Laborer

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person/Laborer to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and general labor tasks to support the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Experience with electrical tools such as an ohmmeter is a plus, but training can be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop diverse skills in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs around the property, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Use hand tools and electrical testing devices, including ohmmeters, to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with installation of fixtures, appliances, and equipment as needed.
• Perform general labor tasks such as moving materials, cleaning work areas, and supporting ongoing projects.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all tasks to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain organized work areas and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in maintenance person services or general labor preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Basic knowledge of electrical testing tools such as an ohmmeter is desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $23.94 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
