Job Overview
A large, growing HVAC company on the MS Gulf Coast is seeking an upbeat and skilled HVAC Technician to join our service team and provide exceptional service in maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
This role provides an opportunity to work with a diverse range of mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency across various commercial and residential properties. This candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent diagnostic skills, confidence in their abilities and strong attention to detail.
This is a full-time, position with benefits (after probationary period) with a large, growing HVAC on the MS Gulf Coast.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment,
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficiency and longevity of the systems
- Install new HVAC equipment, ductwork, and related mechanical components
- Effectively troubleshoot systems including but not limited to wiring, relays, sensors, and control boards to identify, ensuring issues are accurately identified.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain lines or refrigerant piping.
- Ability to utilize necessary tools
- Maintain detailed records of service, inspection reports, and logs of all work performed
- Must comply with EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- 5 years - Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician with both Residential and Commercial experience
- MUST PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF HVAC CERTIFICATION
- MUST HAVE REFERENCES (THEY WILL BE CHECKED)
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or appliance repair are advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to submit digital tickets for service calls
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems involving currency
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job that includes lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, bending, and working in confined spaces safely.
