Job Description Summary
Injection Molding Operators will be responsible to tend to the Injection Molding Machine (IMM) and all supporting secondary equipment in the absence of the Specialist. They will need to perform quality checks and have an understanding of gauges. Injection Molding Specialists will be responsible for the operation of the Injection Molding Machine (IMM) and all supporting secondary equipment. The Specialist will also be responsible for setup, troubleshooting basic issues, and managing the materials. They will need to perform quality checks and have an understanding of gauges.

· Observe continuous operation of automatic machines and secondary equipment to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary. · Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
· Turn valves and dials of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed and feed rates, and to set cycle times. · Install dies onto machines or presses and coat dies with parting agents, according to work order specifications. · Trim excess material from parts, using knives, and grind scrap plastic into powder for reuse.
