What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator/Machinist position at Air Industries Machining?
Air Industries Group - Complex Machining Sector is an aerospace manufacturing company located in Long Island, NY. Air Industries Group – Complex Machining Sector produces critical machined components and assemblies fabricated from hard metals, such as Inconel, titanium and 300M. Our product lines also include intricate mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate machine center working within /- .0005 tolerances, adjust machines accordingly
- Load tool or replace broken insert and adjust offsets accordingly
- Use of standard tool including Micrometer, Height gauge, etc.
- Ability to read and inspect parts to drawings
Skills Required:
Minimum 2 years of CNC Operating experience - Manufacturing
Machinery experience in any of the following a Plus:
Milling: Mazak, OKK, Niigata
Lathes; Mazak, Puma
- Ability to read and understand specs and drawings
- Manufacturing experience a PLUS
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of deburring equipment
Day (7am-5:30pm) and Night Shift (5:15pm-3:45am) available. 15% night differential for night shift
Position is based in Bay Shore, New York. There is NO Re-Location for this position.
