What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Technician position at Air Hygiene International, Inc.?
Qualifications: High school diploma, experience working outdoors.
Hours: Entails 75% travel, so overtime is expected. 40-80 hours per week.
Supervisor: Director of Operations, various Testing, Field, and Project Managers
Pay Range: $17 to $27 per hour.
Job Description: Essential duties include the following:
- Travel to and from job site, including driving responsibilities under DOT.
- Set up and tear down equipment on-site.
- Be the “hands of the test” and stay on a stack during the sample test.
- Properly conduct on-site test of stationary stacks using different analysis and testing methods.
- Perform maintenance on equipment, keeping trucks and trailers stocked and clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Communication: Effectively present and analyze written and verbal information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other members of the organization.
- Math: Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Technology: Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Email and Internet software.
