The AFRL Motor Testing Branch is seeking a Solid Rocket Vertical Test Stand (1C) Program Manager to join the team. The position is located at the AFRL Rocket Laboratory at Edwards AFB, CA.
For more than 60 years, the AFRL Rocket Laboratory at Edwards AFB has contributed to several technology developments in rocket engines, including those of Saturn, Titan, Space Shuttle, and all major intercontinental ballistic missiles and current space launchers. Today, the site continues to enable technology leaps in hypersonics, solid rocket boosters, in-space propulsion, and liquid rockets for defense and commercial space in support for the Air & Space Forces.

Position duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing cost, schedule, performance, and technical risks for liquid and solid rocket test programs.
- Manages tasks associated with engineering, program control, configuration management, test, manufacturing, quality assurance and integrated logistics support.
- Supports two current test programs designated by the RQ Director as our #1 priority, and the maintenance and enhancement of the test stand to sustain readiness for future test programs.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Secret security clearance.
- Must have one year of experience at the DR-I/DO-I (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level.
- Must have BS or graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Management, other Program Management related field, and/or PMP or other similar professional certification.
- Experience in program management with responsibility for managing cost/schedule/performance.
- Experience in either rocket or flight test.
- Strong and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective teams, both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Graduate level degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Management, other Program Management related field, and/or PMP or other similar professional certification.
