We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Specialist to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our business agreements, responsible for the entire lifecycle of our contracts, from initial drafting to final execution and management. You will work to ensure clarity, compliance, and value in every contract, directly contributing to our operational efficiency and success.
Salary: $95,326 - $123,927
Travel: Up to 25% travel
Remote: No remote or telework
Position: Permanent position
Relocation incentive may be available

- US citizenship is required.
- Must serve as a warranted contracting officer at the level deemed necessary by the supervisor to support the AFR and AF missions. Successful completion of a warrant test and warrant board will be required in obtaining a warrant. (IAW DFARS 201.603-2 and MP5301.603).
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- The employee must meet the continuing acquisition education requirements IAW DoDI 5000.66 paragraph E2.2.8.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
- 3-5 years’ experience requested.
- Professional knowledge of a wide variety of Federal contracting laws, regulations, policies, processes and procedures; and contract types applicable to preaward and postaward actions.
- Knowledge of business practices and market conditions applicable to program and technical acquisition requirements.
- Knowledge of contracting negotiation, administration, and termination principles, policies, procedures, and technical requirements; and knowledge of price and cost analysis principles and techniques sufficient to review proposals against previous history, actual and estimated expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.
- Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
