The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full time, Supervisory IT Specialist, (GG-2210-14), performing as the Chief, Executive Communication, working at the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Offutt Air Force Base (AFB), in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Salary ($127,003 - $165,148) based on experience
This position may offer relocation, recruitment, and/or retention incentives based on experience.
This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) Personnel System position aligned under authorities of Section 1599f, of Title 10, Chapter 81 United States Code and DOD Instruction 1400.25-V3007.
Required 3-year probationary period for new Federal government appointments.
CES applies and documents Veterans’ Preference IAW DoDI 1400.25, Volume 3005.

Qualifications/Requirements
In this position you will exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the USSTRATCOM Executive Communications Branch.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Top Secret/SCI” Security clearance
This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position
This is a key position and may not be vacated in time of emergency or mobilization. The incumbent must be removed from military recall status and may not become a member of the ready reserves.
This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. The incumbent must meet foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months.

- Knowledge of full range of network systems (LAN/WAN) policies, design principles, methodologies and approaches used in developing, testing, installing, operating, managing and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
- Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
- Knowledge of IT management information systems and applications software technology to isolate causes of problems between hardware, system, and applications software programs and to measure system performance and/or extend operating system capabilities to support organizational business processes and operations.
- Knowledge of network architecture, topology, protocols, and security requirements at the base level and configuration management concepts and practices to develop and implement plans for LANs and WANs.
- Expertise in mobile and airborne executive C2 - Enterprise AC/VTC Engineering - COMSEC and Cybersecurity - Budget & Contract Management - Proven Branch Level Supervision - White House / National Capital Region Senior Level Customer Coordination You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
