Job Title: Powder Coat Laborer
Location: Horseheads, NY
Shift: M-F (7:00am – 3:30pm)
Pay: $16.00

Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable powder coater to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for prepping and powder coating heavy-duty steel truck bodies, trailers, and components. You’ll work in a fast-paced production environment where quality, attention to detail, and safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal and other surfaces for coating (cleaning, sanding, masking).
- Safely hang, move, and handle parts through the coating process.
- Apply powder coatings using spray guns under supervision.
- Operate curing ovens and related equipment.
- Inspect coated products for coverage, quality, and consistency.
- Perform minor touch-ups and adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist in other shop and production tasks as required.
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures including PPE use and material handling.
- Work with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6 months of experience in powder coating, painting, or industrial finishing
- Ability to mix, match, and apply paint accurately
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating systems
- Physically able to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Must follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Willing to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Exposure to heat, sparks, and fabrication equipment

- May require occasional overtime or Saturday work depending on production needs
