Job Title: Installation Technician II

Location: Horseheads, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Steady Dayshift M-F (7:00am – 3:30pm)

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour based on installation test results

Mandatory Overtime

Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and mechanically skilled Installer to put together truck bodies and accessories on brand-new chassis. This role involves both mechanical and electrical work, including installation of hydraulic systems, wiring, and fabricating custom components. Work is performed indoors in a clean, well-lit facility on brand-new trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install dump bodies, toolboxes, tarp systems, and hitch/tow packages on commercial trucks.

· Mount and plumb hydraulic systems including PTOs, pumps, valves, and hoses.

· Perform electrical wiring of body lights, controls, and integrations with truck chassis.

· Install air systems and pneumatic controls where required.

· Measure, drill, cut, and fasten metal components accurately.

· Follow technical installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and supervisor instructions.

· Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.

· Communicate issues and ensure installations meet quality standards.

· Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required

· 2 years of experience in truck equipment installation, mechanical repair, or related field

· Ability to read prints, installation instructions, and wiring diagrams

· Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day

· Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team

Work Environment:

· Fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Exposure to heat, sparks, and fabrication equipment

· PPE provided and required

· May require occasional overtime or Saturday work depending on production needs
