Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role based in Fort Myers, FL. The technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioners, air handlers, heat pumps, and pool heaters. Daily responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, completing service calls, verifying system performance, and documenting all work performed. The role involves interacting directly with customers, explaining findings, recommending solutions, and ensuring a positive service experience. The technician will also follow safety and environmental regulations, maintain tools and vehicles in good condition, and coordinate with the office team to manage schedules and parts.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving HVAC system issues efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair of heating and cooling equipment, including routine service and emergency calls.
- Knowledge and practice of preventive maintenance to improve system performance and extend equipment life.
- Current EPA certification (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) for safe handling of refrigerants.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with clear communication and a professional, respectful approach on every visit.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC technical program or apprenticeship preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Ability to lift and move HVAC equipment, use hand and power tools safely, and follow all company and industry safety standards.
- Previous experience as an HVAC service technician or in a related field is strongly preferred.
