What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at Air Distribution Technologies Inc.?
- Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, invoices, verifying the accuracy of contents and quality of products.
- Coordinate the inspection, sorting, and storage of received materials or products.
- Prepare shipping/receiving documents, including packing lists and bills of lading.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks (if required by Manager)
- Enforce safety regulations and guidelines in the receiving department.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, if applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Implement quality control measures to prevent receiving errors and damages.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and team members.
- Report any issues, delays, or discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address customer inquiries and special requests.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Implement best practices to optimize receiving procedures.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma preferent; and a minimum of one year’s experience and/or training in manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Required knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform. AS/400 knowledge and experience preferred.
