Job Description: ACS wants to deliver our products into customers’ hands as smoothly as possible. That’s why we’re looking for a skilled supply chain specialist to oversee logistics and distribution for the Branches. The right candidate will have an excellent problem-solving mindset and rigorous attention to detail, staying organized as they manage a large network of suppliers and distributors. They will deeply understand the supply chain and related tools that streamline transportation and inventory maintenance. We also want a strong communicator with a desire for innovation and transformation.
Role and Responsibilities: Manage the branch's supply chain strategy.
Evaluate and report on KPIs.
Plans and coordinates activities related to sourcing and procurement of goods.
Develop and manage a qualified supplier list; compare and evaluate offers from various suppliers.
Purchase goods and enter order details (e.g., suppliers, quantities, prices) into CDK.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers with support from the supply chain manager.
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
Optimize inventory by maintaining inventory levels (MOQ, Min/Max, etc.), monitor and adjust as needed.
Organize and manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of warehoused goods.
Track orders and ensure timely receipts.
Review the quality of purchased products.
Train and coach department supervisors as needed (Purchasing, Receiving, Planning, Inventory Management and Shipping)
Collaborate with all branches/locations to create coordinated plans for business growth.
Implement safety guidelines in supply chain areas (e.g., use of trucks, forklifts, etc.)
Ensure all supply chain processes meet leg
al requirements and standards.
Intermittent quarterly travel is required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant field preferred.
3-5 years working in Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Purchasing roles.
Preferred Certifications: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program.
Hands-on experience with supply chain software/functionality
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate and function with multiple locations remotely
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
Understanding of supply chain procedures
Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
