AIR Communities is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician for The Elm in Bethesda, Maryland.

In this role, you'll help deliver an exceptional resident experience by maintaining apartment homes, completing service requests, and preparing apartments for new residents. • Expected hourly rate of $25-$27 per hour. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.

What You Will Do

• Deliver exceptional service to residents and support fellow team members
• Complete apartment turns using AIR's established processes to create move-in-ready homes for new residents
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems and apartment components, including plumbing, basic electrical systems, HVAC equipment, appliances, and related maintenance items
• Complete resident service requests accurately, efficiently, and professionally
• Provide functional or technical guidance to other Maintenance Technicians when needed and help support their skill development
• Assist with vendor quality management and move-in/move-out inspections as assigned
• Adapt to changing community needs, seasonal priorities, and varying maintenance requirements

What You Have

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably within apartment, facilities, building maintenance, or related environments
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least two technical trades, such as plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, or related disciplines
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, seasonal workload fluctuations, and on-call rotations of at least one week per month
• Reliable transportation for responding to emergency service requests while on call
• Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding work, including moving equipment and machinery as required
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
