We are currently seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our Baton Rouge, LA office. This opportunity is available as either a Partnership Track Attorney or a Reduced Hour Staff Attorney, providing flexibility while offering meaningful litigation experience and long-term career growth.
We are looking for a candidate with 3 years of commercial litigation experience who has handled depositions, motion practice, discovery, and all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable independently managing a caseload while working closely with clients and collaborating with a highly experienced litigation team. This role also offers the opportunity to build client relationships, contribute to business development efforts, and work on sophisticated commercial disputes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently manage commercial litigation matters from case inception through resolution.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, court appearances, and trial preparation.
- Draft substantive motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related filings.
- Conduct and defend depositions while collaborating with partners on complex litigation strategy.
- Manage electronic discovery processes and utilize e-discovery platforms throughout the litigation lifecycle.
- Communicate directly with clients, provide regular case updates, and develop trusted client relationships.
- Work closely with attorneys across the litigation team to develop effective legal strategies and achieve successful outcomes.
- Contribute to client development initiatives and help strengthen referral and business relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Louisiana.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial litigation experience.
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, written discovery, and court appearances.
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload from beginning to end.
- Experience working with electronic discovery platforms and managing e-discovery workflows.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent academic credentials with a proven record of professional achievement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to build long-term client and referral relationships.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
