Position Overview
TAG Sports is seeking an experienced, driven, and entrepreneurial sales leader to accelerate growth across retail, wholesale, distribution, team sales, training facilities, and strategic partnerships within the sports industry.
This role is responsible for opening and managing new sales channels, expanding retail and distributor relationships, identifying strategic growth opportunities, and helping establish TAG Sports as a leading sports technology brand across multiple sports categories.
The ideal candidate combines strong sports industry relationships with the ability to build scalable commercial partnerships and execute aggressively in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Channel Expansion
· Drive sales growth across:
o Sporting goods retail
o Team dealers
o Distributors
o Wholesale partners
o National retail accounts
o E-commerce partnerships
o International distribution
o Sports academies and training facilities
o Team and organizational sales
· Identify and establish new revenue channels and strategic partnerships
· Build scalable sales strategies for multi-sport markets
· Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships within the sports industry focused on co-branded products, technology licensing, and growth opportunities tied to the TAG X platform.
· Develop and execute territory and account growth plans
· Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline
Account Development & Business Relationships
· Establish relationships with:
o Sporting goods retailers
o Coaches and instructors
o Sports organizations
o Training facilities
o Professional and collegiate programs
o Team dealers and distributors
o Buying groups and channel partners
· Onboard and support new dealer and distributor accounts
· Negotiate pricing programs, promotions, and partnership agreements
· Drive sell-through initiatives and retail success strategies
· Support strategic account planning and forecasting
Strategic Business Development
· Identify emerging sports technology opportunities
· Expand TAG Sports into additional sports and training applications
· Assist with strategic partnerships involving:
o Teams
o Leagues
o Academies
o Influencers
o Sports performance organizations
Represent TAG Sports at:
· Trade shows
· Industry events
· Coaching conventions
· Tournaments
· Dealer meetings
Cross-Functional Leadership
· Collaborate closely with:
o Marketing
o Product Development
o Operations
o Customer Service
o Executive Leadership
· Provide market and customer feedback to support product roadmap decisions
· Assist with go-to-market planning, pricing strategies, and product launches
· Support marketing campaigns and channel initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
· 5 years of sales, channel management, or business development experience
· Account Management
· Strong sports industry background required
· Existing relationships within sports retail, dealer, distributor, or team sales channels
· Demonstrated ability to develop and grow new accounts
· Proven track record of driving revenue growth
· Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
· Willingness to travel regularly for meetings, events, tournaments, and trade shows
· Passion for sports and sports performance technology
Preferred
· Experience within:

· Experience managing retail, distributor, or wholesale accounts
· Knowledge of omnichannel sales strategies
