Ainsley Search Group is hiring a Quality Manager to join a Global Manufacturer located in Barry County. The ideal candidate will report to Site General Manager and lead a team of Quality Engineer and Quality Technician, based on customer specifications to oversee in-coming, in-process, first article inspection, lead customer, internal and supplier audits, ensure compliance and drive RCA to reduce non-conformance, recall and return issues, manage quality process and supplier quality program. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with lucrative compensation, bonuses and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Report to GM and manage a team, oversee inspection process from incoming to first article, ensure conformance and compliance based off ISO and customer specifications.
- Investigate root causes related to product recall, production process and raw materials, develop and drive CAPA to reduce recurring issues, drives process improvement across suppliers, materials, manufacturing processes to improve quality standards and compliance.
- Develop supplier quality standards and drives supplier quality improvement and performance improvement, drive corrective action on manufacturing processes to improve non-conformance issues.
- Supervise and support inspection process, develop inspection procedures and best practice based on product specification and customer requirement, document, revise and update inspection procedure accordingly.
- Provide training to inspectors, document training according; provide hands-on management support regarding mentoring, training, staffing, performance review, etc.
- Communicate with customers and supplier management team to ensure inspection instructions are reviewed, accurate and implement inspection instruction based on work projects.
- Lead customer audits, and internal audits, ensure audits are documented and issues are addressed timeline.
- Manage AS9100 QMS systems
- Lead supplier management process to support supplier performance and quality issues, support internal audits, customer audits and supplier audits.
- Support Root Cause Analysis based on non-conformance, re-work and return issues, support corrective action implementation to drive process improvement.
- Support new product development, collaborate with engineering team and supplier management team, based on product design and specification to determine fixture and tools for inspection process.
- Maintain, manage, and update quality and inspection documents, ensure compliance with ISO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Recent years of work experience as a Quality Leader within manufacturing industry, exposure to aerospace and or defense required.
- Solid hands-on leadership experience, experience in managing shop level QC Inspectors.
- Solid knowledge with inspection tools and equipment
- Experience in RCA and CAPA, able to work with cross functional team and external customers/suppliers.
- Ability to pass background check and employment verification.
- Must be a US Citizen
