Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service through active communication and attentive listening
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Manage cash register operations with precision, including cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end
• Assist customers with product inquiries, offering knowledgeable advice on store merchandise and store product knowledge
• Conduct product demos when needed to showcase features and benefits to customers, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented in accordance with merchandising standards
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries, providing clear information and support
• Support in inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and assisting with inventory counts when required
• Demonstrate supervising experience by helping train new team members or guiding less experienced colleagues during busy periods

Skills

• Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations, with strong cash handling skills
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable
• Experience in retail sales transactions, retail math, and basic math skills for accurate cash management
• Ability to perform cashiering duties efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and grocery store experience is a plus
• Strong phone etiquette skills for professional communication over the phone or via other channels
• Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is preferred but not required; leadership qualities are valued
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour
