JOB GOALS:
Performs any combination of the following tasks in the classroom to assist instructional staff by performing the following duties.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: (Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supplements and reinforces the work of the instructional staff.
- Assist with all instructional work in relation to data entry, organization, and review.
- Under the direction of instructional staff Aides may provide appropriate accommodations and modifications to ELD and SPED students.
- Under the direction of instructional staff, Implements instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of assisting instructional staff in improving students’ academic success through a defined course of study.
- Assist instructional staff in monitoring student behavior and helping maintain discipline in the classroom.
- Ability to meet the driving and transportation requirements.
- Provide instructional push-in and pull-out intervention support under the supervision of instructional staff.
- Assist in the supervision of students during drills, activities, outside recreation, field trips, and pick-up and drop-off.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CA driver's license required
- Fingerprint and Tuberculosis screening
- Bilingual preferred/desired
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to meet the driving and transportation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records
- Maintain active affiliation with the professional community while continuing to grow and develop professionally.
- Exhibit professionalism in daily activities and communication with staff, families, and students.
- Follow AIMS Model
- Experience working with Special Education students and English Language Learners a plus.
- Well organized and able to multitask projects and prioritize responsibilities.
- Must adhere to all AIMS policies and procedures.
