Summary

We are currently hiring for the position of Electrical Estimator. Please find the job details below:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full cycle of estimating and analysis, with support and oversight from the Senior Estimator.
  • Conduct analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure all required information is provided.
  • Develop cost estimates by soliciting specific pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and unit pricing for review with the Senior Chief Estimator and/or Vice President of Preconstruction.
  • Train and lead Junior Estimators in their professional growth and learning through leadership and hands-on experience.
  • Participate in design-assist project stages.
  • Meet critical deadlines and provide accurate information.
  • Periodically visit job sites as required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency with the ability to adapt to new innovations and processes.
  • Experience in the Electrical Construction Industry.
  • Ability to understand construction documents, including drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Strong written communication, problem-solving, and math/accounting skills.
  • Potential leadership and management capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Positive attitude and professional communication skills with clients and internal teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in estimating, construction engineering, or construction management is considered a plus.
  • Ability to read plans/specifications for select disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Accubid, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and estimating/scheduling software is preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Candidates with 5 years of experience in electrical construction may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
