Role: Accounting Manager
Location: 100% remote:(must be located in NY, WI, TX, PA, FL, NJ, OH, DE, or IL)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports to: Controller
Compensation: $125,000-$135,000
We are partnering with a growing, private equity–backed organization, seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the full accounting function for a business entity. This position offers the chance to lead core financial operations, drive process improvements, and partner cross-functionally to strengthen reporting, controls, and scalability in a dynamic environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role with visibility to senior finance and exposure to ERP optimization, automation initiatives, and operational performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and policy oversight
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Develop and enhance close processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Partner with FP&A and Operations to streamline workflows and resolve reporting issues
- Prepare and analyze financial and operational performance reports, identifying trends and actionable insights
- Support audits, system enhancements, and special projects
- Mentor and guide accounting team members while fostering accountability and collaboration
- Take a proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to problem solving and execution
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong ownership of the full close process and financial accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to dig into detailed data and resolve discrepancies
- Experience with NetSuite is required
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Background in process improvement and automation initiatives

- Influences financial process design and continuous improvement efforts
- Potential to supervise and develop an accounting team
