Maintenance & Facilities Specialist

This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and improving building structures, mechanical systems, electrical components, and general equipment at Naval Base Kitsap.

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings and facility systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sanitary).
• Troubleshoot and repair basic issues with machinery, equipment, and building components.
• Maintain working knowledge across multiple trades to complete tasks effectively.
• Repair walls, floors, doors, woodwork, and structural components.
• Replace switches, fixtures, motors, and other electrical parts.
• Perform painting, patching, and touch-up work as needed.
• Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, faucets, valves, and small appliances.
• Replace glass and perform minor carpentry.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on schedule.
• Follow all AIM safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Perform other related duties to support contract requirements.

The ideal candidate will have ~4 years of building or facility maintenance experience, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and have familiarity with test equipment and hand tools.

Salary : $57,000 - $74,000
