Company Description
AIM THINK TANK is a growing architecture, development, and construction-related company focused on residential, multifamily, mixed-use, and land development projects throughout the Greater Seattle area.
We are currently seeking a Licensed Architect / Project Architect to support an active development project. This is initially a part-time, project-based role, with the potential to grow into a long-term or full-time position as our project pipeline expands.
Candidates with experience in apartments, multifamily housing, large residential communities, mixed-use developments, or community-scale projects are highly preferred.
Position Overview
The selected architect will work closely with our development and project management team on design coordination, permitting strategy, consultant coordination, code review, and construction documentation for ongoing and future projects.
This role is ideal for architects who are looking for flexible project-based collaboration while maintaining involvement in meaningful development work.
Responsibilities
- Support architectural design and permit documentation
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, city reviewers, and ownership team
- Assist with zoning analysis, building code review, and permitting strategy
- Review and/or stamp drawings when required by project scope
- Participate in project coordination meetings and design discussions
- Assist with correction responses and permit revisions
- Provide guidance on multifamily and large-scale residential project delivery
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect preferred (Washington State preferred)
- Experience with apartment, multifamily, mixed-use, townhome, or large residential community projects preferred
- Strong understanding of permitting, entitlement, zoning, and building codes
- Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD preferred
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently in a flexible project-based environment
Opportunity
This role is initially structured as a part-time/project-based collaboration for a current active project. However, as our company continues to grow and additional projects move forward, there is strong potential for a longer-term or full-time opportunity.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, licensing status, project involvement, and availability. Flexible compensation structures may be considered.
