About the Role:
We have an immediate need for a Temporary Senior SharePoint Administrator. This is a high-impact, short-term contract running through September 30, 2026. You will take the lead on rebuilding, designing, and optimizing the Agency's intranet.
If you are a SharePoint expert looking for a fast-paced, standalone project where you can immediately deliver value, this is the role for you. Please note: This role requires 100% on-site work in Washington, D.C. for the duration of the contract. This position will involve projects that require analysis, design, development, support, and user training for new and existing departmental SharePoint sites as well as assistance in the development of a wider strategy and framework for online communication and collaboration. The candidate will provide senior-level project strategic planning and detailed technical development and training support for these and related projects as assigned.
What You Will Do:
- Intranet Rebuild: Assess the current SharePoint site and complete a full rebuild of the intranet within the first 30 days of the contract.
- Administration: Manage day-to-day administration, monitor system performance, and perform site collection administration, permissions management, and content oversight.
- Security & Governance: Implement and enforce governance policies, user permissions, and data retention while collaborating with IT security to maintain compliance.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Serve as the primary support for all SharePoint-related incidents, resolving performance, access, and workflow issues.
- Customization: Assist with Power Automate, Power Apps, and out-of-the-box SharePoint customizations to meet business needs.
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, configuration inventories, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- The candidate will provide senior-level project management and strategic planning support for this and related projects as assigned.
- Create and update project plans and schedules.
- Analyze and assess the impacts of new project tasks against the project plan
- Coordinate project activities with both internal and external parties as needed.
- Assist with strategy and design of deliverables as needed.
- Schedule and facilitate planning and status meetings
- Create and deliver project presentations to senior and executive management as needed.
- Support daily use of and enhancements to existing SharePoint sites
- Analyze, design, develop, and document new SharePoint sites as needed.
- Assist in the development of an enterprise strategy and framework for the ongoing use of SharePoint and the integration of SharePoint with other communication and collaboration vehicles
- Develop a plan and framework for the integration of database capabilities within the SharePoint environment
- Ensure the Creation and review of designated project deliverables
- Assist with strategy and design of deliverables as needed.
- Track progress of assigned projects, identify risk factors, develop risk mitigation plans, identify issues, and facilitate appropriate forums for resolution.
- Provide management reporting as designated.
Minimum Qualifications
- Total Experience: 5 years of dedicated SharePoint experience.
- Senior Level: At least 2 years operating at a Senior Administrator level.
- Environment: 3 years of experience supporting an enterprise or government environment.
- Core Platforms: Hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019).
- M365 Integration: Proven experience with Microsoft 365 features, specifically Teams, OneDrive, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with PowerShell for admin tasks, Active Directory/Azure AD, and identity management.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Deliverables
- Provide an assessment report of the current intranet within 15 days of award.
- Deliver the fully rebuilt SharePoint site/intranet within 30 days of award.
- Provide complete governance, change management, and configuration documentation within 60 days of award.

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
