Retail Customer Service Associate - Shipping & Mail Center

About Us

We are a locally owned AIM Mail Center providing professional shipping, packing, mailbox rental, printing, copying, scanning, faxing, and notary services. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused team member who enjoys helping people and wants to grow with our business.

Job Responsibilities

● Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting every customer.

● Process domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL.

● Professionally pack fragile, valuable, and oversized items.

● Assist customers with mailbox rentals and mail services.

● Perform printing, copying, scanning, faxing, laminating, and other business services.

● Answer phone calls and respond to customer questions professionally.

● Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash and credit card transactions accurately.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.

● Recommend shipping options, packaging materials, and other services based on customer needs.

● Learn company procedures and shipping software through on-the-job training.

● Follow all shipping, security, and customer service policies.

Qualifications

● Excellent customer service and communication skills.

● Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

● Reliable, honest, punctual, and detail-oriented.

● Comfortable using computers and learning new software.

● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

● Previous retail, customer service, shipping, or office experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with UPS Store, FedEx Office, PostalAnnex, AIM Mail Center, USPS, or similar shipping/mail centers.

● Experience with packing and shipping.

● Notary Public certification preferred (not required).

* Candidates willing to obtain their California Notary Public commission are encouraged to apply. Interest in becoming a California Notary Public (training assistance may be available for the right candidate).

Schedule

● Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

● Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Applicants should have flexible availability, including some Saturdays.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• California Notary Public (Preferred)
