What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Visual Merchandiser position at Aimé Leon Dore?
Aimé Leon Dore is looking for a Hybrid role of an Assistant Visual Merchandiser to join the team in New York, reporting directly to the Visual Merchandiser. This position will be responsible for delivering a premium customer experience, a premium employee experience and implementing programs & processes to ensure the successful visual operation of the first London flagship.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting in helping develop and implementing a visual merchandising strategy for all retail locations
- Ensuring the strategy is in line with the store's brand, products, calendar and target market.
- Assisting in sourcing the props, creative materials, and accessories for displays.
- Installing and setting up window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays, or supervising contractors hired for this purpose.
- Changing displays to promote new product launches or to reflect festive or seasonal themes.
- Ensuring uniformity of displays across multiple store locations.
- Work closely with Retail/Planning/Merchandising/Ops teams to understand inventory levels and strategy when creating floor sets as well as shop replens/sendbacks.
- Have an in-depth understanding of each of our retail locations in terms of high velocity areas, conversion in different areas of the store, etc.
- Researching lifestyle and design trends that will inform the visual merchandising strategy.
- Employees dressed on par with brand
- Helping customers in the store in a professional manner
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 years experience in Visual Merchandising
- Experience and ability to lead the delivery of high level customer service
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Incredible attention to detail with the ability to interpret data
- Ability to work flexible hours for operational needs
- Experience in the fashion industry preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration skills as well as good decision-making abilities in high pressure situations
- Strong leadership partnered with an outstanding work ethic
Salary Range: $18.00 -$20.00 per hour
