We are looking for a Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 8 years of professional experience to assist with various water resources and public-sector civil engineering design projects for clients, including counties, cities, and other agencies & municipalities. Our ideal candidate can independently lead projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients. This position may be altered based on the selected applicant's qualifications and location.
AIM's Civil Engineering services include public infrastructure, water resource and stormwater management, hydrologic and ecosystem restoration, construction phase services, and general civil engineering, including site development. This position's preferred location is our Fort Myers corporate office, where hybrid schedules are available. Other locations will be considered, including Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
Objectives of this Role:
- Provide diverse production engineering design expertise for various civil engineering projects and technical reports.
- Conducts meetings with clients, contractors, and review agency personnel to maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to track and complete project tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Perform internal Quality Control to ensure designs, plans, and calculations are complete and accurate.
- Ability to direct, train, and mentor junior staff through reviewing and certifying projects or the work of others.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida with 3 years of post-licensing PE experience in civil engineering.
- Working knowledge of ICPR, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS is preferred.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations governing civil engineering projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients.
