Duties
- Assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole techniques.
- Solder components accurately following IPC 610 standards to ensure reliable electrical connections.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to complete tasks correctly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment to prepare parts and assemble components efficiently.
- Conduct electrical wiring and testing using ohmmeters and other testing devices to verify functionality.
- Inspect assembled products for quality compliance, ensuring adherence to IPC 610 standards and mechanical specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, test results, and quality checks for traceability.
Skills
- Strong understanding of PCB design, schematics, and electrical wiring principles.
- Experience with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and IPC 610 standards.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and the use of hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for understanding automation components.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and test equipment like ohmmeters accurately.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits, wiring connections, and component testing.
