About the Role
AIM Academy is seeking a detail-oriented USDA Food Program Coordinator to manage and oversee our Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) operations across our three child care sites. This role ensures that our meal programs meet all federal, state, and institutional guidelines while keeping our children healthy and nourished. You will work primarily from home, with periodic travel to our three centers to conduct audits, monitor meal services, and train staff. Additional centers could be added in the future as they become eligible.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Monitoring: Review daily and monthly food program records, meal counts, attendance, and menus across all three sites to guarantee strict adherence to CACFP rules and requirements.
- Recordkeeping & Claims: Compile, verify, and submit accurate monthly reimbursement claims and state paperwork within required deadlines.
- Training & Staff Support: Conduct onboarding and ongoing CACFP compliance training for site directors, teachers, and kitchen staff.
- On-Site Reviews: Perform mandatory quarterly/periodic site visits to observe meal services, verify sanitation/safety standards, and review physical documentation.
- Audit Preparation: Maintain administrative binders, income eligibility forms, and program documentation to ensure readiness for state reviews and audits.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience administering or coordinating the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) required.
- Strong knowledge of USDA nutritional guidelines, recordkeeping requirements, and compliance standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency with record-reviewing and data entry.
- Reliable transportation for regular visits to our three program sites.
- Strong communication skills to effectively train and support site staff.
- A dedicated, secure home-office setup with reliable internet access.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
