Job Summary:
Fortune 100 premier financial services organization – Northwestern Mutual – Aikens Financial - is seeking an Investment Operations Specialist, working with the Director of Investment Operations of the organization. The Investment Operations and Onboarding Specialist will work with two advisors to support the onboarding and servicing of new clients. The perfect candidate is self- motivated, possesses high attention to detail, exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication skills. The right person for this role is driven by intrinsic motivation to help support individuals, families, and businesses by managing account openings, money movements, investment tracking, and has experience in the financial services industry. This professional will be responsible for opening accounts, processing distributions, checks, transfers, and deposits; and is a resource to both clients and advisors for any related questions. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Process cash distributions via ACH, check, brank transfers and wires, stop payments, and deposits
- Prepare and process all paperwork required for investment/advisory accounts
- Process rollovers with the client and the 3rd party institution
- Monitoring ENV2 for alerts and upcoming annual reviews
- Generate, review, and oversee all documents relating to investment account openings
- Be a point of contact for clients regarding account information
- Contact and consult clients to complete outstanding documents and follow-up documentation along with other service-related issues
- Consult and debrief advisors on client openings
- All brokerage account trading and SRS setups
- Money movements (ACH, Transfers), placing trades through different mutual funds, stocks and bonds
- Client account maintenance: send account statements when requested; address and beneficiary changes
- Process servicing requests
- Thoroughly documenting and following case notes, thought process and analysis assumptions
Investment Tracking:
- Making sure clients are meeting the RMD requirements on an annual basis
- Deductible/Non-deductible/Roth/Backdoor Roth annual contributions
- New money list (make sure all new advisory money is being tracked)
- Cash list reports
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of investment experience
- Securities 63 or 66 and Life & Health Insurance licenses
- Strong knowledge of Envestnet and Pershing as a custodian

Pay: $48,464.42 - $58,365.75 per year
