JOB SUMMARY:
Fortune 100 premier financial services organization – Northwestern Mutual – Aikens Financial - is seeking a Director of Investment Operations to lead the day-to-day execution of our investment platform, ensuring precision, compliance, and excellence in every client interaction. This role works closely with our Director of Financial Planning and Investment Operations Coordinator.
The perfect candidate is self- motivated, possesses high attention to detail, exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication skills. The right person for this role is driven by intrinsic motivation to help support individuals, families, and businesses by managing account openings, money movements, investment tracking, and has experience in the financial services industry. This professional will be responsible for opening accounts, processing distributions, checks, transfers, and deposits; and is a resource to both clients and advisors for any related questions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and ensure accurate preparation of necessary paperwork to implement recommendations
- Process and track all new accounts
- Coordinate execution of trades for brokerage and advisory accounts, and proactively manage asset movement
- Construct and rebalance optimal portfolios
- Monitor trades and verify funds
- Implement initial and subsequent asset allocation trades
- Participate in client meetings for financial or investment plan implementation when appropriate
- Process rollovers with the client and the 3rd party institution
- Construct investment proposals with the Director of Planning for client meetings
- Prepare client review materials and assist with investment audits for review meetings
- Run performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar, NMCIR, NetX360, etc.
- Provide high-quality client service and a concierge client experience
- Optimize growth in both risk management and advisory wealth management businesses
- Ensure NMIS and NMWMC compliance requirements are implemented and followed
- Handle all incoming client service requests regarding client plans and accounts
- Contact and consult clients to complete outstanding documents and follow-up documentation along with other service-related issues
- Be a point of contact for clients regarding account information
Investment Tracking:
- Ensure clients are meeting the RMD requirements on an annual basis
- Deductible/Non-deductible/Roth/Backdoor Roth annual contributions
- New money list (make sure all new advisory money is being tracked)
- Cash list reports
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of investment experience
- Series 7 required
- Securities 63 or 66 and Life & Health Insurance licenses
- Strong knowledge of Envestnet and Pershing as a custodian

Pay: $62,578.55 - $75,363.41 per year
