Location: Aiken Family Dentistry
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday Patient Care Hours are 8am-5pm M-Th and 8am-2pm Fri
About Our Practice
We are a patient-focused dental practice seeking a friendly, organized, and experienced Dental Front Desk & Clinic Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in dental insurance, patient coordination, scheduling, and front-office operations and is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced dental environment, communicates well with patients and team members, and can confidently manage both the administrative and coordination aspects of a busy practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide professional, compassionate customer service.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out, appointments, confirmations, and scheduling.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Obtain and document accurate insurance information and patient demographics.
- Explain insurance benefits, treatment estimates, copays, deductibles, and financial responsibilities to patients.
- Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims, pre-authorizations, and outstanding balances.
- Review accounts, post payments, and assist with collections and patient billing.
- Coordinate treatment appointments and help patients understand their recommended treatment and next steps.
- Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, scheduling, insurance coverage, and financial options.
- Coordinate daily clinic flow between the front desk, dental assistants, hygienists, dentists, and other team members.
- Monitor the daily schedule and help ensure appointments run efficiently and on time.
- Manage referrals, records, paperwork, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Assist with practice administrative tasks and support the dental team as needed.
- Provide a welcoming and professional experience for every patient from arrival through checkout.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office front desk, dental insurance, or clinic coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance terminology, benefits, claims, and billing processes.
- Experience with dental practice management software; Eagle soft
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment.
- Professional, dependable, and team oriented.
- Comfortable discussing treatment costs and financial responsibilities with patients.
- Previous experience coordinating a dental practice or clinical team is strongly preferred.
