Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces across all areas of the facility.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and carpets in pristine condition.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning tasks.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning restrooms, kitchens, and common areas thoroughly and regularly.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and ensuring overall cleanliness of the premises.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors.
- Basic facilities maintenance knowledge including minor repairs and painting techniques.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, safety protocols, and work independently with minimal supervision.
