Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role as a Paralegal focusing on Insurance Defense with a requirement to track and bill time. The position requires a Certificate or Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field and is located in Florence, SC. The Paralegal will be responsible for tracking a large caseload managed by several attorneys, preparing legal memoranda, communicating with clients and third-party vendors, as well as assisting attorneys with mediation and trial preparation.
Day-to-day tasks include drafting pleadings, discovery and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and discovery motions; communicating with clients and carriers via phone and/or email, calendaring and prioritizing case management tasks, and supporting attorneys in various capacities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or degree in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of law and experience in legal document preparation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in document review and analysis
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with insurance defense is a plus
