Role: IBM MQ / WebSphere MQ Administrator
Location: Chicago Illinois (Hybrid)

Seeking an expert IBM MQ Administrator to join our MQ team and be responsible for managing and maintaining our IBM MQ infrastructure.
- The IBM MQ Administrator will work closely with development teams to ensure the availability and reliability of our messaging infrastructure to support our applications and services
- Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ servers and associated infrastructure
- Monitor the performance of the IBM MQ servers and associated infrastructure, troubleshoot any issues, and take corrective action to resolve problems
- Implement high availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Manage access controls, security configurations, and authentication protocols for IBM MQ servers
- Configure and manage IBM MQ objects.
- Deep understanding of IBM MQ cluster design, operation and maintenance
- Document IBM MQ infrastructure configurations and procedures
- Join the teams on-call support rotation.
- Must have a pro-active, can-do mindset.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 6 years’ experience with IBM MQSeries, including MQ clustering.
At least 6 years’ experience using Linux.
At least 2 years’ experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years’ experience with deployment tooling (devops tooling, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, CIC
