Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. This role requires a strong focus on hospitality, food and beverage knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are highly valued. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Ensure tables are clean, set up correctly, and reset promptly after guests depart
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and process payments securely
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, resolve issues professionally, and foster positive guest relations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and adherence to food safety protocols
- Support host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and managing transactions
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous host/host or bussing experience is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
