AIDT at the Montgomery Regional Workforce Training Center (MRWTC) is seeking a part-time Receptionist.
The person in this position performs daily receptionist duties for the Montgomery Regional Workforce Training Center (MRWTC), processes all filing, and provides administrative support to the MRWTC’s external customers and internal staff. This position requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to work with direct supervision. This position is on-site and has the potential to become full-time.

Required Qualifications
A minimum high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of additional college training in the appropriate area of specialization, or three years of work experience in the appropriate area of specialization.
Selected candidates must complete an online assessment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls for the MRWTC.
- Check and respond to voicemails.
- Greet and assist visitors. Ensure visitors sign in.
- Cover center and phone lines when full-time staff is unavailable.
- Stay informed about MRWTC programming and disseminate information accordingly.
- Open and distribute mail and other deliveries received at the receptionist desk.
- Maintain FedEx and UPS pickup points, receive and contact the addressee of FedEx, UPS, and other priority shipments received at the receptionist desk.
- Transport outgoing business mail to the post office and other deliveries at the end of each day, as needed.
- Process requests to obtain office and other supplies to support MRWTC needs.
- Prepare receipts of incoming funds for the Finance Division.
- Perform duties including but not limited to typing, editing, processing, copying, categorizing, and filing of letters, memos, forms, reports, notes, and other documentation and communications as required.
- Maintain and update the MRWTC website.
- Maintain a steady supply of office supplies in the storage area.
- Perform light housekeeping to keep the center and personal workspace clean and tidy.
- Request quotes and other required paperwork from vendors and forward to the appropriate person for issuance of the purchase order.
- Perform administrative support work for Instructors.

Comply with AIDT policy regarding attendance. (Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.) Communicates professionally and respectfully with staff, company representatives, government officials, and the public. Coordinates and accounts for AIDT resources within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Salary & General
This is an hourly pay position, with a wage determined based on the business type and the level of program support to be provided. Wage is paid monthly. Please follow the instructions provided. Applicants must travel to interviews at their own expense. All male applicants between the ages of 18-26 must provide proof of Selective Service Registration.
Criminal Background Check
The applicant/s chosen for employment will be required to sign a Criminal Background Check consent form and submit a nonrefundable $29.07 payment for the cost of the criminal background check. (Note: $29.07 fee is based on possession of an Alabama Drivers License. The fee for the background check may be more or less if the driver’s license is not an Alabama license.) Employment will be contingent upon clearance notification from the criminal background check.
