DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, or industrial production or processing systems.
- Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use, and lay out the sequence of tasks
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves and fittings
- Join pipe sections, related equipment and secure in position
- Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks
- Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and various power tools.
- Willing to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
- Must be a Pipe Fitter/Steamfitter Journeyman by trade
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years industrial experience is preferred
- Must be able to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck
- Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
- Able to work independently or as a team player
- Able to take direction and communicate with others
- Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented
- Employ a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization

- Perform work standing up in work cell for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week.

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move material during the course of performing his/her job
