We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Housing Specialist II to join our team. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years demonstrated proficiency in property management and working with low income housing guidelines. Solid computer skills, including REAC/TRACS, EIV, & Procorem, MS-Windows, MS-Office, Internet, databases and online systems.· Strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population in a professional and respectful manner. Valid driver license and reliable transportation with current proof of insurance. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
Duties
- · Maintain physical and electronic tenant files in a state of audit readiness, including internal quality checking.
- Work with grant funders (HUD, HOPWA, RI Housing, City Entitlement) to ensure tenant-related documentation requirements are met.
- Participate in file audits and inspections, including MOR & REAC, making necessary corrections based on findings.
- Work with Housing Services Case Manager to ensure that required tenant signatures and time sensitive documentation is present as required.
- Manage lease renewals.
- Maintain tenant roster.
- Work with Housing Specialist I to ensure that rental arrears letters are accurate and sent in a timely fashion.
- Perform all tenant income calculations for certifications and recertifications.
- Perform tenant recertifications.
- Maintain all housing system data submissions as required, including REAC/TRACS, EIV, & Procorem.
- Conduct housing quality inspections pre/post tenant move in/out, as well as preventatively.
- Participate in on-call emergency rotation.
