Internship Overview
The Admin and Marketing Support Intern will support AIB Network's leadership and staff with day-to-day operations and marketing initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable administrative and marketing experience, develop professional office skills, and learn about the inner workings of a nonprofit media organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Perform general clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, copying, and scanning.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, events, and appointments.
- Support document organization and office systems management.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and greet visitors.
- Help process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Marketing Support
- Assist with creating and scheduling content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube).
- Help draft newsletters, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Support the promotion of AIB Network programming, events, and community initiatives.
- Assist with basic graphic design and video content using Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.
- Help track engagement metrics and compile marketing reports.
- Conduct research on audience trends, community partners, and outreach opportunities.
- Provide support on special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program.
- Interest in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, media, or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) & Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
