We are seeking an energetic Mailroom Equipment Operator / Database Specialist to operate mailroom equipment and assist with database preparation for mailing. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate mailing equipment, including inserters, inkjet addressors, accumulator folders, camera systems, and wafer sealers, to produce jobs to specification.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper operation of equipment by maintaining parts and supplies.
- Read and interpret job tickets accurately.
- Follow established processes and perform regular quality checks.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment as needed.
- Apply math skills to read rulers and calculate accurate counts and weights.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of databases for mailing.
- Utilize database software packages such as PostalOne Storefront and AccuZIP bulk mail postal software.
- Understand and comply with USPS mailing requirements.
- Follow all safety and general housekeeping policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members to maintain workflow.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and handle paper materials as required.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience in print, mail, or manufacturing environments.
- Minimum of 2 years operating mailroom equipment.
- Working knowledge of USPS postal regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
