This is a direct hire opportunity working closely with ownership to improve production efficiency, increase output, and optimize equipment performance within our manufacturing operations.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chemical Engineer role based in Bedford, OH. The Chemical Engineer will design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and systems to enhance production efficiency and ensure high-quality results. Responsibilities include conducting research, analyzing data, working with laboratory teams, and overseeing process performance. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective communication to meet project goals.
The Chemical Engineer will play a key role in evaluating current production processes and implementing improvements to increase volume, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness. This position will work directly with the ownership team to assess manufacturing workflows, recommend process enhancements, and support strategic growth initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications
- At least 4-8 years of relevant experience is required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and optimize chemical processes
- Laboratory skills and hands-on experience with testing and experimentation
- Knowledge and experience in the chemical industry, including materials and production methods
- Proficiency in process engineering and process optimization techniques
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively and work collaboratively with teams
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations
- Experience with computer simulations and process modeling software is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve chemical manufacturing processes related to beauty products
- Evaluate current equipment and production methods to increase efficiency and output
- Collaborate with ownership to determine process implementation strategies
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, and production costs
- Support scaling initiatives and volume growth planning
- Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures
- Assist with troubleshooting production challenges and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
