Volunteer Opportunity

This is an unpaid, in-person volunteer position, ideal for individuals passionate about AI and social impact. Volunteers will receive free access to the TechEquity Ai Summit, a unique chance to learn from leaders in technology, equity, and innovation.

Role Overview

Join the TechEquity Ai Summit 2025 as a volunteer and play a vital role by delivering an engaging experience for attendees. Volunteers will support registration, Speaker and Program Support, Logistics,  and IT support, ensuring both a memorable experience for in-person and virtual attendees. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile event, collaborating in a diverse team, and gaining hands-on experience in event management, technology support, and hospitality. Gain behind-the-scenes experience while enjoying complimentary access to the TechEquity Ai Summit. 

• Registration: Greet guests upon arrival and check in using the event system. 
• Speaker and Program Support: Assist with the needs of speakers, timing of sessions, aid in the distribution, and retrieve microphones during Q&A sessions, and support virtual engagement by monitoring and relaying online questions 
• Logistics: Assistance with transportation of food, setting tables or stations, assisting with crowd control by managing attendee flow, and controlling access to restricted areas.
• Online: Offer prompt and efficient support to virtual audiences by monitoring livestreams and addressing technical issues or questions.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for individuals who excel in dynamic environments. While a volunteer position, it upholds the high standards of Silicon Valley’s tech and nonprofit sector. We seek independent, resourceful problem-solvers with relevant experience who are ready to apply their knowledge and take on multiple responsibilities to support the team. Success in this role requires adaptability, initiative, independence and a willingness to step in where needed. This opportunity is not structured as a training program; it is an opportunity to engage in high-impact work, gain real-world exposure in a results-driven AI and technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Registration: Check-in staff
• Speaker and Program support: Movers, Timer, Mic, Coordinate 1:1 meetings 
• Logistics: Traffic, Gate, Move food/ cleanup
• Online: IT Support

Requirements

• To participate, each volunteer must commit to at least a full 6-hour shift across the three days.
• Volunteers who signed up for the Registration role must be available on November 6 for orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Volunteers must arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled shift.
