What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician IV - X-Ray Testing position at Ai Signal Research Inc?
Education: High School Diploma
Months/Years of Experience: Seven (7) years, experience performing non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity, using operational precedents which are not fully applicable.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Security Clearance. Previous experience with x-ray testing.
Desired Qualifications:
• Initial 40Hr radiation Safety Training and current with yearly 8hr refreshers
• IRRSP (Industrial Radiographer Radiation Safety Program) certified for XR method
• LVL II Radiographer certified to NAS 410 for Film
• LVL II Radiographer certified to NAS 410 Digital
• Familiar with ASTM E1742 Standard Practice for Radiographic Examination
• Experience with Radiological Affairs Safety Office (RASO) and performed or assisted in their inspections of Open and or Shielded Facilities.
• Familiar with Radiological Affairs Safety Program Manual (RAD-010) most current revision.
• Fluent in film interpretation.
• Experience with Computed Tomography (CT)
• Shock and Vibration experience
Skills Needed:
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office software suite (i.e. MS Word, MS Teams, etc.)
• Experience with Data Acquisition (DAQ) equipment
• Experience with setting up or manipulating computer networks and databases
Duties: Performs one or a combination of such typical duties as: Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting. Performing simple or routine x-ray tasks or tests in an ordnance environment. Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs.
